Six years ago today my dream of having a daughter came true. I like to use my absolute most dramatic voice and tell her of how I begged and cried to God “pleeeeeeease oh pleeeeease give me a girl” , she usually laughs and says “not again”. I’m sure I’ll be reminding her of that all throughout her life, and I can embarrass her in front of her friends. She said the sweetest thing about a month ago when we were talking about what kind of birthday party she wanted to have. She said she wanted a “Barbie wedding party.. because you like weddings mom”. That made me smile, but then I convinced her to choose what she really wanted, and as of yesterday she decided on Barbie Fairytopia…perfect!
A few things about Abby: she laughs constantly, she’ll ride ANY ride she’s tall enough for at Six Flags, Desserts are her favorite (especially cheesecake), her favorite thing to do at home is swing on her swing set, and she has a beautiful voice ( I tell her she sings like an angel). I am blessed to call this little girl my daughter.
